Mint Gimlet Cocktail

This Mint Gimlet Cocktail is an easy drink to make at home. Made with gin, a fresh mint simple syrup, and lime juice. Gluten-free, vegan. Please note: Prep time includes making simple syrup which will make enough to store for multiple cocktails.

Ingredients

Mint Simple Syrup

Mint Gimlet

  • 2 ounces gin
  • ½ ounce mint simple syrup
  • ½ ounce fresh lime juice

Instructions

Mint Simple Syrup

  • In a small saucepan, add organic cane sugar and water. Bring to a boil and then turn heat to low, stirring often until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and add mint. Allow to steep for about 15 minutes, then strain simple syrup into an sterile airtight jar or container.
  • Allow syrup to cool before sealing with a lid. Store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.

Mint Gimlet

  • Add ice to a cocktail shaker followed by the gin, mint simple syrup, and lime juice. Shake then strain into a chilled cocktail glass or Old Fashioned glass. Garnish with mint.

Notes

Please note: Prep time includes making simple syrup which will make enough to store for multiple cocktails.
  • Make the simple syrup ahead of time and store it in the fridge. It's great to have on hand for cocktails, coffees, and baked goods!
  • Fresh lime is key to having the best-tasting gimlet.
