This Cardamom Simple Syrup goes perfectly in cocktails, coffee, tea, and more! Made with organic cane sugar and infused with cardamom, vanilla, and lemon. Gluten-free and vegan.

Instructions

  • Toast your cardamom seeds in a small saucepan over medium heat for one minute.
    (If using cardamom pods, use the flat side of a knife to split pods open one at a time. You can place the pods in the saucepan as well.)
  • Add water, organic cane sugar, lemon peel, cinnamon stick, and vanilla extract.
  • Heat and stir occasionally until sugar has dissolved.
  • Turn down heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat. Allow syrup to cool completely.
  • Strain cardamom syrup into a clean and sterile airtight glass bottle or container.
  • Store in the refrigerator for one week.
