This Earl Grey Prosecco Cocktail is an easy sparkling wine cocktail made with a tea-infused simple syrup and a splash of fresh orange juice.

Ingredients

Earl Grey Simple Syrup

Cocktail

  • 2 tablespoons Earl Grey simple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon fresh orange juice
  • Prosecco very cold

Instructions

To Make Simple Syrup

  • Add water and organic cane sugar to a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat, then lower heat, stirring frequently until sugar dissolves into the water. Remove from heat and add tea. Allow it to steep for 4-5 minutes, then strain the syrup into an airtight container or bottle with a fine mesh strainer. Allow syrup to cool completely.

To Make Cocktail

  • Add 2 tablespoons of the Earl Grey simple syrup to a champagne flute. Add orange juice and top with Prosecco.

Notes

To store simple syrup: Keep extra simple syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. 
Use the simple syrup to make multiple cocktails or use it in baked goods or drizzled on ice cream.
