Ingredients

  • ½ cup tamari
  • 1 tablespoons arrowroot starch
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ¼ teaspoon red chili flakes

Instructions

  • Add the tamari and arrowroot starch to a small bowl. Whisk until the starch has dissolved.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and whisk to combine. Use immediately in a stir fry recipe or transfer the homemade sauce to a mason jar or airtight container for later use. Store in the refrigerator if not utilized right away.

Notes

To store: Keep in the refrigerator for up to one week. Shake before use as ingredients will separate.
This recipe makes approximately ¾ cup of sauce which will serve approximately 4 people when mixed with veggies and protein.
To use sauce:  Add to veggies and/or protein towards the end of cooking. Allow it to simmer for 3-4 minutes to warm and thicken.
This simple sauce is easily customizable; add a bit of fresh ginger or ginger powder, swap in toasted sesame oil for regular, add a little onion powder, or even a touch of hot sauce for additional heat.
