Ingredients

  • 20 Medjool dates pitted
  • ½ cup warm water

Instructions

  • Place dates (pitted) and warm water in the bowl of a high-speed blender. Allow them to soak for 5 minutes.
  • Blend the soaked dates until smooth, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Notes

  • Medjool dates are recommended, but any variety will work.
  • If the dates are very dry, allow additional time for them to soak and soften before blending.
  • If you would like a thicker paste, add additional dates until desired consistency is reached.
  • You can use a food processor in place of a blender.
