A refreshing and easy cocktail is always a win. Limoncello, an Italian lemon liqueur, produced mainly in Southern Italy, is a delicious sipper all on its own.
This raspberry limoncello cocktail with vodka is the perfect drink to highlight that sweet, lemony flavor.
This is one of our favorite cocktails, great for warmer weather and for more festive occasions too. Any time of the year will do!

- Simple ingredients for an easy refreshing drink
- You can use homemade limoncello or storebought
Ingredients and substitutions
Here are a few quick notes about the ingredients in this recipe. You can see a complete ingredient list and instructions in the recipe card below.
Vodka - This is a great liquor to have on hand as it mixes into so many drinks.
Even though we use equal parts, its neutral flavor lets the limoncello liqueur be the star.
Limoncello - This Italian liqueur is tart and bright. In this limoncello cocktail, our key ingredient takes the place of simple syrup due to its sweet flavor.
Fresh raspberries - Fresh fruit is essential for muddling, allowing fresh raspberry juice to enhance the drink.
Lemon juice - Adding this acid to your raspberry drink ties everything together, plus a little extra lemon flavor.
Soda water - Topping a mixed drink with club soda adds a fun, bubbly experience, and a perfect balance. Just like in this vodka cherry limeade!

Step-by-step instructions
Before you start: Get out all the drink ingredients and have them ready.
Step 1: Place raspberries in a cocktail shaker or mixing glass and muddle. Fill the shaker with ice cubes. Add the remaining ingredients to the shaker. Put the top on the shaker and shake vigorously (or a quick stir in a mixing glass).
Step 2: Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with ice. Top drink with club soda. For a finishing touch, garnish with a lemon wheel or wedge and additional raspberries if desired.
Tips
- Don't have a muddle? The handle end of a wooden spoon will do in a pinch.
- Fresh lemon juice is always the best choice - though there's nothing wrong with keeping a bottle on hand.
- Plain club soda is best here, but you can always try unsweetened flavored sparkling water if that's what you have.
- Limoncello can be found at most liquor stores. You can make your own limoncello too!
Equipment
Cocktail shaker - A simple shaker works best for this cocktail recipe. If you don't have a shaker on hand, the drink can be stirred in a mixing glass with ice and then strained with a fine mesh sieve.
Jigger - Use this to measure the vodka, limoncello, and lemon juice.
Don't have a jigger? That's okay. Use a one-cup liquid measuring cup with ounces marked instead.
FAQs
