Tips for Making Vegan Orange Creamsicles

Popsicles are quite simple to make, but here are a couple things that make them even easier!

    • Full fat canned coconut can separate. You'll want to reintegrate the thickened white part with the rest of the liquid before measuring.
    • To make removal from the popsicle molds a bit easier, run warm water on the outside of the popsicle mold until they start to loosen.
    • To keep this popsicle recipe refined sugar-free, use unsweetened orange juice.

    Equipment

    • Glass Mixing Bowl
    • Glass Measuring Cup
    • Popsicle Mold

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups fresh orange juice
    • 1 ¼ cups full fat coconut milk
    • 1 ½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
    • 4 tablespoons maple syrup

    Instructions

    • Combine orange juice, coconut milk, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.
    • Whisk until ingredients are completely incorporated. (Taste test now - if you prefer sweeter, add a little more maple syrup. For a stronger orange flavor, add additional orange juice.)
    • Divide mixture between 10-cavity popsicle mold. Add mold top and popsicle sticks. If using a mold that doesn’t come with a top that holds the popsicle sticks, freeze popsicles for about an hour and then add sticks.
    • Freeze popsicles for 2-3 hours until frozen.
    • Once ready, run warm water over the molds to help loosen and remove.
    • Enjoy!
